Our Vision

The vision of the Center for Restorative Change is that all communities will be equitable and promote well-being, self-determination, and individual and collective power.

We believe Baltimore and Maryland will become socially and economically more robust through sustained partnerships that foster civic-minded leadership and innovative community-engaged education, service, and research.

To advance social justice through mutually transformative community-university partnerships.

Our Values

We are guided by our three core values:

• Social Justice – equitable distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society. Our work is focused on issues related to social justice and well-being for all.
• Empowerment – the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and claiming one’s rights. We believe the people we work with already have power. Our goal is to provide support as they identify and activate their own power.
• Transparency – openness, communication, and accountability in our work. We believe in accountability from the people who are most impacted by our work. In order to be truly accountable to community members, we believe our work must be conducted with openness and transparency.
